AmpleHeat – Our Story

AmpleHeat has evolved over many years since its origin as Brooks Partners Limited which began life in 1959 as a main agent for BICC, the very first British heating cable manufacturer. In the 1990s, BICC withdrew from the flexible heating cable market and we became UK agents for Kima Heating Cables of Sweden. In 2007 we changed the company name to Ample Heat Limited to rebrand and better portray our function.

During many years of design, installation and repair of electric floor heating systems we have undertaken numerous new and refurbishment projects for private, commercial and public sector clients.  Installations range from space heating of conservatories to surface heating of access road ramps for shopping centres. In addition to installation work we have provided maintenance, control upgrade and repair services for all sites regardless of the make of heating cables or the company that installed them.  

With our background of electric floor heating installations, AmpleHeat today has evolved into a specialist electric floor heating repair company. Over the years, in addition to the fault finding equipment inherited from BICC and provided by Kima, we have continuously investigated and upgraded to new detection instruments and procedures. We have collected a vast array of equipment and a huge amount of experience of the many obscure faults that occur and the remedies that are possible to reinstate all types of installation. In the last five years alone, we have successfully repaired more than 2,500 electric floor heating systems and have worked on every make of heating cable currently available.
